Shin Tae-yong's Indonesia to receive bonus for third-round win over Japan

It doesn't get much more motivating than this.

Indonesia's CNN reported on the 22nd that "Indonesian Football Association President Eric Tohir will fly to Qatar to support the national team ahead of their final match against Japan. The federation has also decided to pay a bonus to the national team if they perform well against Japan."

Japan will face Indonesia in the third match of Group D at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup 2023 at the Altumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Japan is one of the favorites to win the tournament. They have called up their best players, including Takefusa Kubo, Kaoru Mitoma, and Takehiro Tomiyasu, but have struggled unexpectedly. They won their first match against Vietnam 4-2, but their performance was shaky and they suffered a shocking 1-2 defeat against Iraq in the second match. With Iraq having already clinched first place in the group with six points after two games, Japan can't afford to lose this match against Indonesia.

On the other hand, Indonesia, led by Shin Tae-yong, have been making up for their numerical disadvantage. They lost their first match against Iraq, but showed their true colors and recorded their first win of the tournament with a 1-0 victory over Vietnam in their second match.

The mood of the two teams is mixed. The local Indonesian media is of the opinion that they can do it. "Japan's weaknesses are as follows. The first is that they are vulnerable to dead balls. In fact, both goals they conceded against Vietnam came from dead ball situations. The second is that they are weak at predicting headers. Three of the four goals Japan conceded came from headers. Finally, their goalkeeping is inexperienced. Japan was vulnerable in aerial ball situations, and their goalkeeper was unreliable. "Zaion Suzuki made a lot of mistakes, which will affect his psychological state," said the coach, who also used power analysis to build his team's will to win.

The mood was high. Chairman Eric also expressed his support for the team. "He said in Jakarta on the afternoon of the 21st, 'Looking at the players on the field right now, I hope it's not impossible, even if the chances are very small. So I decided to head to 먹튀검증 Qatar tonight. At least I can try harder to play a good game like Qatar did against Vietnam,' he said," the report said.

"'I think my presence is just moral support. I don't like to talk about bonuses in advance, but I hope there will be some unexpected bonuses,' he said."
